As AB = BC = 6 cm and ON = 5 units, and OM is perpendicular to AB,

then OM = 5 cm as equal chords are equidistant from the centre

As OM is perpendicular so it bisects the chord

 BM = 3 cm

OM + BM = 5 + 3 = 8 cm
