Arithmetic mean of a and b is

large frac{a+b}{2}

When n = 0

large frac{a^{n+1}+b^{n+1}}{a^n+b^n}

large =frac{a^{0+1}+b^{0+1}}{a^0+b^0}= frac{a+b}{1+1}= frac{a+b}{2}
