If the difference between sum of digits at odd place and the sum of digits at even place is 0 or divisible by 11.

For 1928_762

Let at place of _ be a

sum of digits at odd place=2+7+8+9=26 

sum of digits at even place=6+a+2+1=9+a

Difference of sum=26-(9+a) 

a neq 1,3 or 5 (as it will not make it 0 multiple of 11)

So to make 26-(9+a)=11   

a=6
