Find the volume of a cuboid having the area of the base equal to 60 sq cm and the height equal to 8 cm.

Area of the base  =60: : cm^2

i.e.,      length times breadth =60: : cm^2

or,        l times b=60: : cm^2

Also, given    height (h)=8: : cm

           Volume of a cuboid =l times b times h

                                       =60 times 8: : cm^3

                                        =480: : cm^3

Hence, the volume of the cuboid is  480: : cm^3.
