Conductivity:

Conductivity is the measurement of the ability of the aqueous solution to transfer an electrical current.

Conductivity of ionic Compounds:

The conduction of electricity through the solution involves movement of charged particles. Ionic compounds are good conductor of electricity, but they conduct electricity either in molten form or in aqueous form. In molten form, the electrostatic forces of attraction between the oppositely charged ions become less due to heat.
