Holozoic Nutrition

Holozoic:

In this method of heterotrophic nutrition, complex organic substances are ingested (taken in) without their being degraded. After intake such food is digested by enzymes produced within the organisms. Digested food is absorbed into the body and the undigested food is egested (expelled) from the body. This kind of nutrition is found in non – parasitic animals like amoeba and human beings.
