Ascending Order

To arrange the number in such a way that the numbers are in increasing order that is smaller to bigger is known as Ascending Order.

The numbers 2064, 3115, 927 and 5001 when arranged in ascending order will be

  • We see that there is one 3-digit number and three 4-digit numbers.
  • The 3-digit number 927 is the smallest.
  • Among the 4-digit numbers 2064 is the smallest. The other number greater than 2064 are 3115 and 5001.
  • On comparing 3115 and 5001 we see that 3115 is smaller than 5001.
  • Therefore the given numbers in ascending order are
  • 927 < 2064 < 3115 < 5001
