Food from Plants: The green plants prepare their own food from carbon dioxide, water and chlorophyll in the presence of sunlight. Thus, green plants are known as producers. They store the extra food in their different body parts. Mushrooms have good taste and health benefits. They are neither plants nor animals, they are placed in a separate category 'fungi'. Wheat grains are used to make flour which is used to make chapattis. Root is the part of the plant of banana that is not used as food. India is the largest producer of banana in the world. The components of the plant that we will able to eat are inner stem, flower, raw banana and ripe banana. Plant Parts that are eaten:
