Plant Cell and Animal Cell

Cells are the fundamental unit of life. The cells that constitutes plant body are called as Plant cells whereas cells that form animals body are called as animal cells. As these organisms perform different functions, therefore they can be distinguished on different criteria. Some of the differences are listed below in the table :

                        Plant Cell

                          Animal Cell

        Cell wall is present

     Cell wall is absent

     Cytoplasm is not as dense as in animal cell

     Cytoplasm is dense

     Large vacuole is present

    Vacuoles are generally absent. If present, they  are small in size.

      Plastids are usually present

     Plastids are absent

      Centrosome is absent

     Centrosome is present
