Constellations

Constellations:

The stars which appear in the form of closed groups and form a recognizable shape  and pattern are called constellations. A close and careful observation of the stars on a clear night reveals that some of these stars appear to form some kind of patterns that appear to resemble some familiar shapes. Such a group of stars is known as a constellation. Some of easily recognizable constellations are Ursa Major (or Great Bar), Ursa Minor or laghu Saptarishi Orion and Scorpio, Orion and Scorpio.
