ARCHIMEDES PRINCIPLE:
Statement: When an object is fully or partially immersed in a liquid, it experiences a buoyant force or upthrust which is equal to the weight of liquid displaced by the object, i.e. Buoyant force or upthrust acting on an object = Weight of liquid displaced by an object
Even gases like air, exert an upward force or buoyant force on the objects placed in them. It is buoyant force or upthrust due to displaced air which makes a balloon rise in air.
Applications of Archimedes Principle:
Archimedes principle is used in:
Example: If an iron object is immersed in water, it displaces 8 kg of water. How much is the buoyant force acting on the iron object in newton? ( Given, g = 10 )
SOLUTION: According to Archimedes principle, the buoyant force acting on this iron object will be equal to the weight of water displaced by this iron object.
We know that, weight, w = m g
Here, mass of water, m = 8 kg
Acceleration due to gravity ,
On putting values,
Since, the weight of water displaced by the iron object is 80 N, therefore the buoyant force acting on the iron object (due to water) will also be 80 N.
How does a Boat Float in Water?
A boat floats in water due to upward force called buoyant force (or upthrust) which is caused by the pressure of water pushing up the bottom of the boat. When boat is gradually lowered into water. It displaces more and more water. Hence, buoyant force on it also increases. When this buoyant force becomes just enough to support the weight of boat, the boat stops sinking down in water. Now,according to Archimedes principle, buoyant force is equal to the weight of liquid displaced by the boat. Hence, during the floating of the boat, the weight of water displaced by the submerged part of the boat is equal to the weight of the boat.

It has a great methodology. Students here can get analysis to their test quickly. We can learn easily through PPTs and the testing methods are good. We know that where we have to practice
My experience with Abhyas academy is very good. I did not think that my every subject coming here will be so strong. The main thing is that the online tests had made me learn here more things.
Abhyas is a complete education Institute. Here extreme care is taken by teacher with the help of regular exam. Extra classes also conducted by the institute, if the student is weak.
A marvelous experience with Abhyas. I am glad to share that my ward has achieved more than enough at the Ambala ABHYAS centre. Years have passed on and more and more he has gained. May the centre flourish and develop day by day by the grace of God.
About Abhyas metholodology the teachers are very nice and hardworking toward students. The Centre Head Mrs Anu Sethi is also a brilliant teacher.Abhyas has taught me how to overcome problems and has always taken my doubts and suppoeted me.
It was good as the experience because as we had come here we had been improved in a such envirnment created here.Extra is taught which is beneficial for future.
It was a good experience with Abhyas Academy. I even faced problems in starting but slowly and steadily overcomed. Especially reasoning classes helped me a lot.
Abhyas Methodology is very good. It is based on according to student and each child manages accordingly to its properly. Methodology has improved the abilities of students to shine them in future.
My experience with Abhyas is very good. I have learnt many things here like vedic maths and reasoning also. Teachers here first take our doubts and then there are assignments to verify our weak points.
Being a parent, I saw my daughter improvement in her studies by seeing a good result in all day to day compititive exam TMO, NSO, IEO etc and as well as studies. I have got a fruitful result from my daughter.
