Bahlul Lodhi

Lodhi Dynasty:

The dynasty founded by Bahlul Lodi ruled from 1451 to 1526 AD. The last ruler of this dynasty, Ibrahim Lodi was defeated and killed by Babur in the first Battle of Panipat in 1526.

Bahlul Lodhi:

Bahlul Khan Lodi (died 1489) was the founder of the Afghan Lodi Dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate in India up[on the abdication of the last claimant (Alam Shah) From the previous Sayyid rule. After the voluntary abdication of the throne by Alam Shah, Bahlul Shah ascended the throne of Delhi in 1451 and adopted the title cf Bahlul Shah Ghazi. Alam Shah continued to live in Badaun until his death in July 1478.

  • After Alauddin Alamshah voluntarily relinquished the rule of Delhi, Bahlul Lodi mounted the throne of Delhi Per in the name of Ghazi and laid the foundation of the first Afghan empire.
