(i) National Highway Development Project (1999)
(i) Major cities are being conducted with NHDP highways under Pradhas Mantri Bharat Judo Project (2004).
(ii) Pradhan Mantrí Gram Sadak Yojana (2000) (PMGSY) is with development of rural roads.
The Golden Quadrilateral plan to connect the four major metros i.e. Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata with a total length of 5846 km. And which has been completely converted into four / six lane long roads as on 31 January 2016.
