 Azad Hind Fauj

Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army) - 1912 AD

  • On 1 September 1942, Captain Mohan Singh formed the First Division of Azad Hind Fauj in 'Malaya', which could not succeed.
  • The real credit for the establishment of Azad Hind goes to Ras Bihari Bose.
  • On July 2, 1943, Subhash Chandra Bose arrived in Singapore.
  • On 5 July 1943, Subhash Chandra Bose became the President of the Indian Independence League and Azad Hind Fauj.
  • Netaji formed the Azad Hind Government and challenged the countrymen with the slogan 'Give me blood, I will give you freedom'.
  • Subhash Chandra Bose died in an air crash on August 18, 1945 while on his way from Formusa Island to Tokyo (this has not yet been proven to be authentic).
