The Central Government's Schemes for Primary and Secondary Education

Following are Central Government's schemes related to primary and secondary education:

Comprehensive Computer Education Programme

This is a 'fully state funded scheme' and has been launched for five years from the year 2010-11. Under this scheme, about 213 Govt. Sr. Schools in the state will provide computer education to the students.

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Programme

  • The scheme was launched by the Prime Minister on 22nd January, 2015 at Panipat.
  • The scheme is jointly run by three Ministries of the Central Government, namely, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of Human Resource Development.
  • The objective of the scheme is to eliminate sex discrimination and provide education to girls. The scheme was started with an amount of 100 crore.
  • The renowned wrestler Sakshi Malik has been named as Brand Ambassador of this scheme in Haryana
  • Aarohi Model School

  • This scheme was launched by the Central Government in the year 20111-12.
  • The main objective of this scheme is to improve the level of education in Backward Blocks in Haryana from class 6 to 12.
  • The scheme is operated in 10 districts of Haryana State such as Panipat, Palwal, Mewat, Fatehabad, Mahendragarh, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Bhiwani and Sirsa.
  • Aarohi Model School is located in 36 Educationally Backward Blocks (one in each block) of the state of Haryana.
