Thermodynamics

The branch of science that shows the reciprocal relation of heat and mechanical energy and low one energy changes into another is called thermodynamics.

Zero Law of Thermodynamics :

When in three objects A, B and C, A is in thermal equilibrium with object B and B is in thermal equilibrium with object, Then C, then A will definitely be in thermal equilibrium with object C.

The First Law of Thermodynamics :

It is also called the law of conservation of energy. Accordingly, the heat ((Delta Q) given to a body is equal to the sum of the work done by the body against the environment (Delta W) and the increase in internal energy (Delta U). that is, Delta Q=Delta U+Delta W

The difference between work and heat is not shown by this rule.

By this rule it is also clear why the entire energy could not be converted into work.

Second Law of Thermodynamics :

This rule is also called the law of entropy. It is not possible for the entire heat to be converted into work and the heat cannot flow from its heat object to an object of higher temperature unless energy is used.

  • In the refrigerant, heat is transported from a cols object to the hot (atmosphere) with the help of an external power source (electric motor).
  • Thermodynamic Processes:

Isothermal process :- In this process, changes in the body occur in such a way that the temperature of the body remains constant throughout the action. This type is called isothermal process.

Rhythmic process :- In this process, changes in the body occur in such a way that there is no exchange of heat between the body and the atmosphere.
