    Rigvedic Period (1500-1000 B.C)

  • Vedic Civilization was a rural economy and its mainstry was pastoralism and agriculture
  • The Vedic people were not permanent residents. Hence no physical romains are obtained from them The In was also an incomplete development of agriculture 
  • The early Aryans lived in eastern Afghanistan and Punjab and adjoining areas of western Uttar Prades
  • The major composition of this period is the Rigveda
  • There are differences among scholars regarding the original place of residence of the Aryans
