Natural And Synthetic Rubber:
Natural Rubber: Rubber is a naturally occurring polymer, obtained as latex from rubber trees.Rubber can easily be deformed, but it regains its original shape after the stress is relieved. It is highly elastic.
Vulcanised rubber is used for making gloves, rubber bands and tubes. Rubber, which is a soft material, can be hardened by adding carbon black to it. Hardened rubber is used for making tubes, tyres and conveyor belts.
Synthetic Rubber: Synthetic rubber, also called artificial rubber is also a polymer. In fact, synthetic rubber is far more superior to the natural rubber, The two important synthetic rubbers are Neoprene and Thiokol.
Neoprene: It is stable at higher temperature and it does not react with oxygen and ozone. Neoprene is used as an insulating material in electric cables, conveyor belts in coalmines, and for making hoses for transporting oil,
