Diseases: A disease is an abnormal condition of the body which does not let the body function properly. For example, arthritis is a disease of the joints which affects the elderly. People with arthritis may find it difficult to move their fingers or bend their legs. Influenza (flu), typhoid, common cold and malaria are some other diseases. For example, a person with a fractured bone in the leg will not be able to move it. But a fracture is not a disease.
