Word Analogy - Quantity and Unit
Quantity and Unit : In such type of questions, one word of the pair gives the property which is measured known as quantity and its physical unit is given in other word of the pair, then it is called quantity and unit relationship. Example: Length : Metre. As Metre is the unit of measuring length. Some more examples are given below :
Example 1: Hour : Second : : Tertiary : ?

Solution: (b) Seconds, minutes and hours are the three units of time - seconds is the smallest unit and hours is the third unit in succession. Similarly, primary represents initial stage and tertiary represents the third stage in a process.
Example 2: Current : Ampere : : Energy : ?
(a) Watt (b) Joule (c) Newton (d) Work
Solution: Ampere is unit of measurement of current. Similarly, ebergy is calculated in Joules. Hence, Option B is correct
